Mr. Jarratt, I am in receipt of your last two emails. The documents you have requested in your last two emails are not available electronically; however, with the possible exclusion of the check registers for the last three years, these documents are available for public inspection Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm at our district office located at 500 North Avenue, Winthrop Harbor, IL 60096. I can make a separate room available to you for the inspection of these documents. Before I can allow you to review these documents, I will need to obtain some clarification regarding the administrative procedure for "Access to District's Public Records" as I do not have a clear set of guidelines to follow in this regard and must consult with my Board. Most of the documents you requested in your first request were already accessible from our school district website, or they were immediately accessible to me in electronic format. I will report back to you within a few days regarding the process you must follow to gain access to the records you wish to inspect. As far as answering the questions you have posed, I can offer the following response: 1. When was the last time the district has a working cash fund? The last time District 1 had a Working Cash Fund was June 30, 1996. Prior to this date, the last time this fund had anything other than a zero balance was June 30, 1991, with an FY '91 ending balance of: $38,225.06. 2. List of all payments for sick/vacation time buy backs of all staff since the final year of Dr. Mark tenure. None. I will contact you again within a couple of days to advise you regarding what procedure you must follow regarding you request for documents. Yours for Better Education, James P. Tenbusch, Ph.D. Superintendent of Schools 847.731.3085 Voice 847.731.3156 Fax
